He was always a bigger star than The Rock, and now John Cena and Batista (and The Miz maybe?). Why didn't he ever make that transition to films? The only one I remember him in was The Condemned.

He was in The Expendables, but it was virtually a non-speaking role.

I think he never took off as a movie star due to his domestic violence issues.

The Condemned was a damn fine film.

He also starred in The Longest Yard remake with Adam Sandler and several other wrestlers. The reason he hasnt taken off like The Rock and, to a lesser extent, John Cena is because he is weak as an actor. His only range is his Stone Cold persona, which doesnt do much for cinema.

What's that supposed to mean? If I was young I'd probably think The Hunger Games is the best movie ever. I know that Battle Royale was the "original" that these copied off if that's what you mean.

I've asked this myself. I don't have an answer.

Maybe his heart's not in it. Maybe he just doesn't translate as well to the screen as The Rock. Maybe it's just because, anytime fans see him, they wish he could be back in a wrestling ring. I, for one, would've rather seen him beat the fuck out of Randy Orton than Vinny Jones.

I've only seen him in The Expendables and The Longest Yard and he did well in both films.

Speaking of Expendables, I just realized Sylvester Stallone had movie fights against my two all-time favorite wrestlers: Hulk Hogan and Steve Austin.

He might have done smaller movies just for money and insurance. Wrestlers in the past would get acting roles and join the Screen Actors Guild for the benefits because wrestling companies offer no health insurance benefits. Terry Funk, Macho Man Randy Savage, and Rowdy Roddy Piper did the same thing.
