I apologize I know I made this topic a week ago but I ended up getting busy and lost the topic.
This time I will save all your suggestions on a list and get to them one by one. Can be modern or classic. Classic is probably preferred first but either way. If you don't mind an eight-hour made-for-tv miniseries, you should watch Lonesome Dove. It's amazing and one of my all time favourite movies (and books). It has Robert Duvall and Tommy Lee Jones in the lead roles and they both give what is, in my opinion, the best performance of their careers.
Robert Duvall was also in another unrelated western tv series in the 2000s called Broken Trail. Not nearly as good, but very entertaining. He also played one of the leads in Kevin Costner's western movie Open Range. ...I really like Robert Duvall and westerns. They mix excellently. Also, if you like Sergio Leone's spaghetti westerns I highly recommend Sergio Corbucci's The Great Silence. Corbucci also made the original Django that Tarantino used as a base when he made Django Unchained (not very related). That's a good movie too, but eh. Great Silence is one of the absolute best westerns I've ever seen. It stars the great Klaus Kinski as the main villain, though to the best of my knowledge all English language versions use random people for the dub. And its relatively unique among westerns in that it takes place in deep snow during a Utah blizzard rather than the usual desert-esque language of the genre. It creatives a striking visual contrast. ... Copied to Clipboard!
