I'm seriously considering doing so. They can learn everything necessary at home while having an easier time working on any skill they wish to pursue.

My only real issue is the socialization aspect of them. Growing up in a sheltered environment might make them into snowflakes.

I was homeschooled and it's so much better than public/ private schooling. There's more freedom in what you learn. No more learning about ww2 for 10 years in a row.

No, I think there's far too many life skills they simply wouldn't develop well without being around a wide demographic of different children every day.

Also things like team sports.

Your kids can participate in team sports if they are homeschooled with the local public school.

If I had the time to homeschool them, I think I would. Also enrol them in lots of clubs and activities so they learn how to socialize.

Also most park/county districts have their own teams

There are a lot of people who homeschool their kids. Seeing socialization as necessary, parents often develop home school cooperatives both to enhance socialization as well as to offer curriculum that perhaps some parents are uncomfortable teaching. Many home school parents are very well educated. My kids were home schooled for a while. The home school coop included classes on anatomy and physiology as well as pre-law taught by a practicing nurse and an attorney respectively.

I was homeschooled. I begged my mom to do so and it remains one of, if not my greatest mistake of my life. Don't do that to your kids.

I think it would be good since schools seem overcrowded. The high school I went to about 15 years ago had over 3000 students and most class sizes were 25+. There is no way to focus on individual needs in schools like this and private schools are expensive.
