You push the faction rally back. It finally comes out after a month. You add 1 Weapon TOTAL as a new weapon. Every faction sells the SAME weapon! LOL

Also, they reduced how many Faction tokens you get by putting a cap on it when you grind "too fast."

Also, this "cap" somehow spilled over to several activities in the rest of the game.

ALSO, they decided to put an Exotic Ghost Shell in Eververse that REMOVES THE TOKEN CAP! LMAO!

To top it off.. The Faction that receives the most tokens wins the Faction war. So that Ghost shell is literally pay to win in terms of winning that war!

How do you constantly fuck up so bad?! It's like a constant meme!

Have the exotic shell from months of breaking shaders I'll never use and it hasn't dropped additional faction rally tokens. Only vanguard or crucible tokens so far. I'll check again after work.

For people missing pieces of the rally armor, this faction rally is great since it went from opening 25 packages at 20 tokens a pop to potentially be missing pieces to get 250 tokens, open 10 packages then buy the missing pieces straight from the faction vendor.

Winning the war means nothing since everyone can buy the weapon or just wait until next month's rally to have the weapon in the loot pool.

I sold it two weeks in because the writing was on the wall when the game was literally just as bad as Destiny 1 at launch but with a story.

I was asking about this is another topic that no one responded to. I bought the game day one and stopped playing when they added those Teal color gear sets. Never even bother earning one. How much has it changed since then? I'm probably gonna reinstall it.

It wasn't until a few months ago. The only bad thing is that just like every loot shooter it is pretty grindy and there are certain gear pieces (classifieds) that are pretty much the new meta so unless you're creative, you shouldn't pvp until you grind for 6 piece classified gear sets yourself. The good news is that there is a global event next week where you'll have a ton of chances to easily complete 4 classified gear sets

There is a lot to do in the game even without the season pass but I recommend buying that too for the full experience

bungie very clearly created and targeted destiny 2 towards casual gamers who want a light, easy to understand game where they can shoot shit and get loot to make arbitrary numbers go up, get a sense of reward, play dressup with their avatar, etc.

yet we have people up in arms about destiny 2, who have this weird image in their head that this is supposed to be some hardcore MMO and not what it truly is, a slot machine with fancy graphics and guns.

makes no sense to me tbh. a lot of the outrage is people creating scenarios in their mind of how the game SHOULD be and then flipping out about when their expectations they have based on pretty much nothing dont come true.

this is one of the most annoying things about "gamers", they are unable to do any sort of critical thinking when it comes to video games. do you think your new Camry is a race car because the commercial shows a race car driver speeding through a canyon in it?

Part of the problem, and I think this is a fair point to make, is that by the end of Destiny 1 it WAS a good game. The Taken King and everything before it, bundled into a single product, is exactly what people thought Destiny 1 would be. People rightfully assumed that Destiny 2 would be building on top of that foundation. What makes Destiny 2 SO abrasive is that they removed features they had already added in D1 to save it for later.

It's a fair point to say that some people are gullible, but I think it's also fair to point out that it was a reasonable assumption to think that D2 would be at least as good as The Taken King, and its surprising that it wasn't.

I think it's disingenuous to claim that "gamers" (dunno why that's in quotes outside of you trying to be condescending) were stupid for believing a game would be a certain way but to explicitly omit that it was based on repeated promises.
