Disagree. I like the grittier feel of the older cuts.

It's a good movie, but too much Gossling tiptoeing down hallways.

And Leto's character with the taunting Deckard near the end... ugh. That scene was dumb.

I liked it better than the original, Roy Batty is the only good thing about the original's writing. The first one felt more like just a setting exposition than a movie, and 2049 feels like a movie. They need to release 2049 on VHS.

I'd agree with that, but at the same time Roy has a particular magnetism. Actually, Jared Leto's Niander Wallace might have gotten there for me if he'd had more screen time. He's delightfully creepy, by favorite cast member of 2049. Hopefully Hollywood learns from this and Suicide Squad with regards to his talents.
