So I've been having major back pain to the point of where I've missed 4 days of work, and I NEVER miss work. So if it's hurting me that bad, than you know it's gotta be painful. Anyway, the pain is over my lower left side right about where the kidneys are. It's a sharp pain if I move it certain ways, otherwise it just aches like crazy.

So I went to urgent care about a week ago and they ran a bunch of tests. X-rays, urine sample in case it was the kidneys, and they all came back negative. Medically there's nothing wrong with my back, yet it still hurts like a mother.

What do you guys think? Is this all in my head? What the fuck is wrong with me?

This, do yoga. Does the pain shoot to any of your legs?

No, it's localized to the back. Never tried yoga for it.

Unless you want to book an appointment with a specialist at the hospital? I don't think your ER visit managed to check anything on your spine or muscle at least.

Sounds like you strained a muscle. There are muscles that help you poop.

Sounds like you had a back spasm or a muscle strain. I advice getting a massage. Chiropractors arent really BS but they do mostly deal with alignment and would probably be a pretty good option if you want to know what the problem is.

I'm not gonna get into a fraud vs. miracle worker argument for chiropractors but when I slipped a couple lumbar discs when I was 19 and broke I went to a chiropractor and he adjusted them.

Before I went two months with unimaginable pain and I could barely walk or bend at the waist. I was became depressed since I was young and had such a fucked up back. Afterwards about 95% of the pain went away and I resumed normal day to day activities. I could run and play sports again even though there is some lingering sciatic pain and soreness.

It definitely helped my(common) situation but I can't see how forcing vertebra and other bones back into place as the best option.

Oh so its most likely just a lack of muscle use. You need to work out your back muscles man, I highly recommend yoga. If its not shooting into your leg then its not a bad spinal alignment and just maybe inactivity
