If you thought Xenogears was just okay, then you will definitely not like Xenosaga. A good majority of episode 1 and all of episode 2 was the bad parts of Xenogears. I would not recommend it to you.

Do you like playing interactive movies? If so, go for it. First game alone has 8 HOURS of cutscenes in a 24-ish hour game. No, I'm not exaggerating. It actually has over 8 hours of cutscenes

And the first game was speedrun in 6 hours. So if you know what you're doing, it literally takes less time to beat the game than it does to watch all the cutscenes in it lolol Story is great though, and I remember gameplay of 3 being pretty great too, with 1 having good gameplay as well. 2's gameplay is like...FF13 with twice as many things to worry about and no autobattle option to make it faster. ... 1. It is basically a movie and does have some hardcore gameplay toward the last few dungeons.
