Finally got to play some matches tonight. I have no idea what I'm doing, but I'm having fun doing it.

I know almost nothing about the DBZ universe, but gameplay videos of this new game look fun. Ill probably pick it up when it releases. There isnt anything else that looks interesting for a while.

The auto combo system is great because it doesn't take anything away from the pros and gives DB fans the ability to just jump in, pick a team, and have a good flashy fight even if they have zero fighting game experience

if its anything like GGs stylish mode you gain absolutely nothing from using it and lose options, tools, and defense

It's very fun, but I don't think it'll have much longevity.

High-level play will either focus on broken assist combo setups that haven't been discovered yet, or will continue heading towards a meta where everyone basically uses meter-reliant system mechanics and their rock-paper-scissors nature to open up their opponent.

It's closer to P4A's auto-combo with even fewer drawbacks (in fact, you even gain a dragon ball just for finishing the combo). The auto-combo continues on whiff and certain moves are exclusively tied to the auto-combo (such as Beerus's standing crossup).

Yeah, but it's not as crazy as Marvel and has an even lower skill ceiling.
