and every other phone carrier that charges you for incoming calls. Started a new job last month and had a ton of incoming calls from my employer letting me know of job sites they wanted me at or things they wanted me to do.

checks my phone bill.... 40 dollars over the limit, I made barely 3 calls last month spanning 2 minutes each, as usually I text.

Its a sneaky practice and honestly, I might see if there are any providers that don't do this bullshit.

I'm honestly shocked that carriers still have calling limits and charges. All the ads I see talk about unlimited phone etc...

Are you not in the US? Every carrier knows has unlimited talk/text and just charges you for how much data you want. Even Virgin Mobile https://www.virginmobileusa.com/plans

I don't have a lot of money, my job unfortunately has cut my hours from 48/w to 12/w(yes I've bitched and complained at them because of that, they refuse to up my hours), and yes I'm in the process of finding another job and quitting this one, as they still owe me money.

and we don't have Verizon up here in Canada apparently. No, I can't afford 40 dollars a month with taxes. I already have enough bills as is.

I did not know people still paid for minutes

I thought every plan was unlimited talk/text and data was the defining factor

Yeah.... I need to get this shit checked out. Something wrong here, I think I'm getting screwed. I just checked their website and it says 500 minutes a month free for 30 bucks. They told me I only get 100 free minutes last time I was at the Kiosk a couple days ago.

yeah, my phone was supposed to have been paid off back in July, yet I'm still getting the old plan on my phone 100 minutes a month for 29. Yet their 30 a month plan gives 500 minutes a month.....

talks to an employee online, he assures me everything is going to be fixed up, I just need to call this number.... proceeds to give me a number to a scam artist giving away free cruise ship tickets.

story of my life. I'm definitely going to talk to the guys at the kiosk about this.

Turns out it was my fault on that issues, I put in the wrong number. That said, the number they gave me lead me another cell phone company who is probably owned under them.

I'm just going to go and talk to the people at the kiosk tomorrow instead. Get it done in a couple minutes instead of bouncing around using up my minutes.

Any phone company worth doing business with won't charge you minutes for calling them <_<
