That's just politics. The spotlight, currently, is on how much the Democrats botched up the Presidential election of 2016, and the masses are sick and tired of SJW-heavy trends. Thank you. Democrats and republicans are two sides of the same authoritarian coin. They don't have a consistent set of principles. They believe what their side instructs them to believe, ignore any fault or logical fallacy, and immediately discredit any idea presented by the other side. I may not agree with the entire libertarian platform, but at least you can look to things like the non aggression principle as a firm base. Neither of the two major parties have anything remotely similar. They're simply a collection of random and ever changing ideals.
