Trump hailed a "victory" for himself in 2016 with the Carrier factory in Indiana which he made shortly before becoming president as he promised to save US manufacturing jobs. The 7 million tax incentive deal kept them from moving to Mexico and saved 1100 jobs but United Technologies said the deal still allowed them to trim its workforce at the indiana plant and it engaged in 2 rounds of layoffs with 300 back in July and now another 215 today. The company said "We continue to actively engage with our workers and the community to provide impacted employees with resources to make a smooth transition" But Renee, who voted for Trump said she voted for him in hopes he would save her job and is now outraged that he didn't do more to save her job.. She says "I now feel betrayed, i feel angry. And i feel forgotten". She's been a press operator there for 5 years with the plant The layoffs underscored the challenge Trump made to save blue-collar American manufacturing jobs and prevent factories from relocating. The US added 196,000 manufacturing jobs in 2017 but much of those were in positions for highly skilled labou such as operating robotics in automated factories. If someone with a high school degree or less, their jobs are being automated. United Technologies announced another plant closure as it moved to Mexico laying off 350 workers Is Renee right that Trump didn't keep his promise? let's see what people think Renee - Outraged http://i.dailymail.co.uk/1/2018/01/12/01/wire-2058126-1515719298-627_634x449.jpg --- call me mrduckbear, sweater monkeys.
