not sure if its in the game normally or a part of some mod i downloaded, but holy fuck. thing is massive. at normal speed flying it would take a minute or two to fly from one end of the ship to the other. It has 6 or 8 shield towers you need to destroy to get the shields down, and once they are down its hull is super strong, throwing missiles at it or even just blasting it with a continuous stream of lazers takes forever.

I didnt even destroy it. I was in a deathmatch with just myself in a millenium falcon vs it, and I set its skill to novice. The max time you can have is 20 minutes and I couldnt even take it down despite me having free reign to shoot it. Obviously you'd do it in teams with friends but still.

insane at how huge this thing is. perhaps i could record a video showing its true size.

Ya, I used to to that in the old Xwing and Tie Fighter games - it'd require either invincibility or careful flying to get in a laser blindspot and then speed match so you can just sit there and shoot - and it still takes like 2 hours to kill it

Well ideally you'd take the time to select individual components and gun them down so it is left defenseless, then take out the shield towers, then gun it down.

The super star destroyer had a few internal guns so that you couldn't get all the components (possibly only in XvT), so ya - you could still destroy most of them, but not all

Rogue Leader and whatever PC one where you were some trader in a ship like the Falcon was pretty sweet. Rogue Leader is probably one of my favorite games, actually.

Wait, there is an SSD in x-wing vs tie fighter?

I am uploading a video now. I know you can enter its hangar bay in this game...I found it once but dang thing is too big I cant find its entrance any more. Since even heavy rockets or space bombs remove maybe 1-2% of hull once shields are down im thinking I might need to fly inside and destroy it with rockets that way.

I wonder how badass its explosion is. Like I said, with one ship I could do it on my own even with taking out its shields then unloading missles, crashing into it to respawn, then unloading missiles again, etc.

excuse my shitty flying. skip to near the end if you want to see a better view. it didnt blast me to bits immediately because it is on the easiest difficulty. if it was harder i doubt id be able to get near it.
