it looks fun to make my favorite video game characters out of little beads
but then i looked on amazon and all the perler bead kits have "kid's" in the name and that really turns me off... anyone here do this stuff? I suppose I could sell them on etsy and justify it that way lol... --- Don't ask. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Yeah, I do. Have a whole bunch of sprites decorating my game room. It's fairly simple, but fun to do.
Don't bother with the kits. Get a bunch of the square pegboards and then buy the beads in bulk. You can buy direct from the manufacturers, or go off places like eBay. I'll see if I can dig up the vendor I usually use (it's been a while since I've actually made anything, so I haven't had to restock in a long time). EDIT: The vendor I used apparently isn't in operation anymore. Anyways, there's four different brands of beads which are all cross-compatible: Perler, Hama, Nabbi, and Artkal. Take a look through all of them, as they actually all offer mostly different colours and having different shades can make sprites look really good. --- Kill 1 man: You are a murderer. Kill 10 men: You are a monster. Kill 100 men: You are a hero. Kill 10,000 men, you are a conqueror! ... Copied to Clipboard!
