PRESENTED BY CURRENT EVENTS! As the first topic in this idea I've had for awhile, here is the basic groundwork. INTRODUCTION I looked at the Top 24 episodes of Simpsons ever, as based on user star ratings on IMDB. The list is from 2015, but I doubt anything in 2015 and beyond would belong on this list. This list has a nice little two sentence explanation of the episode if you do not have episode names memorized. In each topic I will also explain each episode that we are voting on. THE LIST - http://www.imdb.com/list/ls076621282/ Using Challong, I've created a tournament involving the Top 24 episodes of all time! THE BRACKET - http://challonge.com/1pqf62l9 The 1-8 seeds have a bye in the first round, since that seems appropriate. Every day (or maybe twice a day depending on how 1-sided a vote gets) we will put up a new poll and see which episode out of the two is considered better. Winner moves on, loser is dropped. There will be a third place vote as well. Let's get to it! THE COMBATANTS! *LAST EXIT TO SPRINGFIELD* - Homer becomes union leader and leads a company strike when Mr. Burns takes away the company dental plan. vs. *TREEHOUSE OF HORROR V* - The family's job at Mr. Burns' country estate goes awry when Homer goes mad; Homer's attempt to repair a toaster results in inadvertent time travel; The school staff turn cannibalistic.
