Poppy, direct indie rock, but nothing that blows my mind or anything. It may be a bit of a shallow or stupid nitpick, but I really preferred his lo-fi production on his earlier stuff, it just makes the songs hit harder for me. Very likable but not as memorable as Teens of Style imo Havent listened 8/10 This one took a little bit to grow on me. At first it felt like a step down from the death-based imagery of Trans Youth, but the wrestling stuff really grew on me, this is just as emotional as some of Johns best.
