Ok you guys, got this super quick, super tasty delicious recipe, you're going to be making this basically like every week now I promise.

Back when I was 6 and grandma used to make cookies out in the yard and we'd play hopscotch. This neighbour kid called Jimmy used to come over and...

*5 paragraphs later*

Anyway, so here it is in a nutshell.

Ingredients:
- 0.25grams chickpeas
- a quarter teaspoon of smoked paprika (you can just sprinkle it using the tips of your fingers if you like but make sure to wear gloves!)
- A small bunch of organic kale (most health food shops won't have it so you'll have to go to a regular supermarket unfortunately)
- Broccolini (make sure not to cook this because it loses vitamins. Raw is best)
- Half tablespoon of coconut oil (I know this seems like a lot but trust me it's the best detox ingredient)
- half cup walnuts (these things are packed with protein and totally vegan too)

Method:
- Combine ingredients into a bowl and serve. Yum :)

What the fuck website do you use for getting recipes? Unless you're talking Facebook, in which case people just like to tell their "story"

So many food blog websites will give you an entire back story about grandma to their recipe these days. If it's not coming from an actual chef I'd say the above is kind of what you get very often.

lol you know what I think is ridiculous? I see people posting "ham and cheese slider recipes"

they cut bread in half then put meat and cheese on it and bake it and this is what qualifies as recipes these days

I can get behind that if it's a chef teaching you techniques to take a simple cheese melt or something to the next level but yeah, I don't know why people are making "how to sandwich" recipes

Those topdown gif recipes can be pretty ok but I find they miss out critical steps in the cooking process. Especially those ones where they just toss a bunch of ingredients into a slowcooker, no sauteing, browning, etc.. Anyone trying that is going to be disappointed with the end result.

instant noodles are like store bought noodles you put boiling water into and then eat

french toast is like bread soaked in a mix of eggs and milk and then toasted (actually pretty good)

I thought you meant a single thing not two separate things.

TC has a point. If I google recipes, half the sites I end up on have like a novella before the recipe.

This website is kind of guilty of the meme food aspect but I still think it's a great website:

Yeah, that does seem to be somewhat of an issue with a good bit of them. I guess they just assume you already have an idea what to do in-between, know how to cook what, or otherwise just decide for yourself how exactly you want it made.

Some are definitely way better than others

At the same time they do a good job of dispelling the myth some people have that cooking requires some kind of craft genius
