I was in band, and we always had to sit for a bit of the chorus performance before the joint finale. The chorus-only finale was "All I Want for Christmas is You", and we made fun of them behind the curtain the entire time (They didn't really suck, but the song was so cheesy and repetitive and they weren't that great). Everyone was lip-syncing and being really over-the-top with it, and it's definitely one of my favorite memories from back then.
