its when the sith first split from the jedi. Dark side jedi had a war with their brethren and then ran off to pursue their own philosophy. The movie would start before the split. maybe it could be multiple movies, but it would show the corruption of the first sith and the resulting war

it would have to take a ridiculously long time ago though. even in KOTOR, the Force Wars are ancient history. it's like 20,000 years before the movies or something

thye became dark jedi. originally when it first happened, the word sith didn't exist yet. sith comes from a planet they found later after the Force Wars, where they met a dark side alien race called the Sith. that's where the name comes from

i'm hoping some of it will be revived into the new canon eventually

what I am saying is they started out as jedi. then they became dark jedi and fought a civil war. then they ran off and called themselves sith. but basically they were the first sith. it's the sith origin story
