I'm a huge Pentagram fan and it's so painful to watch Bobby in his current state and hear from his former band mates how his vices and volatility cost them mainstream success the part that hits hardest is them interviewing Bobby's parents and even after all the shit they've been through because of their son, they just want him to be happy

Pentagram aren't Death Metal. They're closer to Black Sabbath than anything else, although they did really help influence Doom and Sludge metal

I like Pentagram but am not a huge docu person and this one didn't seem too special on top of that

it is a shame how much he consistently sabotaged the band's success, especially considering the impact they had despite it

He hasn't really changed much over the years either is the sad part. Bobby is the poster boy for the old saying "You can bring a horse to water, but you can't make him drink "

idk, I fuck with artsy bullshit more than just subjects I like when it comes to film, hence why docus grab me less

Fair enough, but even though it's a pretty traditional documentary the subject matter was enough to keep me hooked

He wasn't really doing anything different from any other guys in bands like that at the time, Ozzy probably did harder and worse things than Bobby but was able to channel his vices into something amazing with Black Sabbath while Bobby just let it completely take him over and had it basically kill any chance Pentagram had at mainstream success
