The 22-year-old suspected of involvement in the blast of a police car outside the police station on Sallerup Road in Malmo was captured by surveillance cameras. He will be interrogated after lunch on Saturday. A 26-year-old arrested at the same time has been released during the night.

An empty police car parked outside the police station near the Vrnhem square in Malm was subjected to a blast attack at 19.25 on Friday night.

- It was an extreme bang, said a witness for DN.

Two men were arrested quickly suspected of involvement in the deed, and one of them was taken into custody during the night. On Saturday afternoon, the 22-year-old was interrogated:

"My client denies the crime," says lawyer Mikael Nilsson of 22-year-old to DN.
...
The damage to the car was extensive.

- The car became unusable, which is a serious blow to the police. Bomb techs have been in the night to find out exactly what was blown up but we have not received any results yet, said police press officer Ewa-Gun Westford told DN.

During the night, the police conducted searches on a few addresses in Malm. After the initial interrogation of the two detainees, a 22-year-old and a 26-year-old, prosecutors decided to arrest the younger, while the elderly will be dismissed as suspected in the investigation.

Being able to arrest the 22-year-old was due, among other things, to joining a surveillance film from the area.

- He was arrested first because he was pointed out by the witnesses. But then we've linked him to the event through the surveillance film. Now an IT Forensic will review it and secure the evidence, "said Ewa-Gun Westford.

According to Westford, the film of the 22-year-old is good enough to assume that the investigation is good.

"He has also been arrested for probable reasons," said Ewa-Gun Westford.

It is the higher suspicion and requires more evidence than "justified suspicious". The man moves around the car, and soon afterwards it explodes.

The 22-year-old is known the police before, but not for any more serious crime.

A large area surrounding the police car belonging to the intervention unit was locked off after the decease. However, in the morning, the car was abandoned and the locks claimed.

Forensics came to the scene shortly after 20:00. A while later, personnel from the National Bomb Guard came to the scene.

It was at 20.50 the police confirmed that two men were arrested suspected of involvement in the incident. The two were born in 1991 and 1995.

After hearing the witnesses and the arrested guards, prosecutors decided to arrest the younger of the suspects during the night.

Crime breakdown is common destructive destruction. The other arrested has been released after interrogation and other investigative measures.

An eyewitness had alerted the police since a perpetrator was seen passing the place and then doing something with the police car and then running away from there.

"Both of them were arrested near the crime scene and not far from each other," said Fredrik Bratt at the police in the South.

Was there any threat to the police?

- No, so far we see what happened as an isolated event.
....
No person was injured in connection with the event.

During the year several police stations have been subjected to suspicious attacks. Among other things, the entrance to the police station in Helsingborg was blown the night by 18 October. On October 28, a policeman's residence in Vsters was fired upon with an automatic weapon.

(i edited out some pointless fluff and repetiotion, marked by "...." cause the article was like 600 characters too long

it's media tradition in Sweden, has been for many years, to often just refer to a suspect by their age
with some rare exceptions, of course

You mean to say Khadr did not kill an American medic as a fighter for a terrorist cell?

@MaverickXeo

A) ISIS was not in existence at the time
B) He was paid millions because his basic rights were violated while in custody and he was in legal action over that. The payment was a settlement to avoid a legal loss for the government in the Supreme Court where they would've ended up paying anyway.
C) He was basically a child soldier
D) You used "ISIS terrorists" as in plural. Are there more examples?

I'm laughing my ass off at you now btw

A) He was not in ISIS, that is correct.
B) What 'rights' were violated?
C) He was not a child soldier, he was 16 years old; old enough that he could be tried as an adult (even in Canada).
D) There have been talks of other returning ISIS 'fighters' who want to sue the government as well. There was even statements from our PM that said he wanted to fund them to 'rehabilitate' them.

If you want to laugh at me, go ahead. I can't change your mind.

we have that in Sweden too.

there was a story of when one mosque or prayer-room or whatever they called it got firebombed, and ISIS took credit (i guess it was shia, so the "wrong" kind of muslims)
one guy got arrested, but for whatever reason the couldn't get the evidence to sentence him, (though they did confirm he was an ISIS symphatiser)
so he got a bunch of money.

he has now been arrested for "planning and preparing terrorism" in Denmark.
