Because I don't like when creative processes become collaborative in circumstances when they shouldn't be collaborative. The whole point of something like Milo's book is to hear his voice, the voice of a radical, as ridiculous as that voice may or may not be. I hate how everything always has to be reigned in and smoothed over, for countless insipid reasons, by tedious, practical, uninspired people who wield any amount of power.

If Milo himself wanted raw, unedited Milo then he wouldn't be working with a publisher. The fact of the matter is that the things that are being edited in that manuscript are things that get in the way of people hearing his voice. It's also like when people say they want "realistic dialogue" in movies. You use the term "tedious" to describe the editor, but reading the manuscript is tedious in it's original form.

Then self-publish. The moment you bring another party into it, it becomes a collaborative process. Alternatively, find someone who is willing to give you more freedom in how you write it.

From the looks of the manuscript, Milo is nowhere near as good a writer as even Mick Foley, who had suffered significant brain damage before writing five autobiographies, four children's books, and two novels.

Okay, and?

the point is that editors are important, especially for someone whose writing is as bad as Milo's

I don't mind a lot of the obligatory semi-dumb replies to my posts, but yours are inane cave scratchings.

I know that editors are important. Anyone who's writing something for publication, especially if it's longform, relies on an editor to catch logical and grammatical errors. I've never disputed that. Why have you brought it up multiple times? What are you really arguing against? Yes, you're a cliche SJW who hates this guy because he doesn't seem to fall in line and maybe damages your embarrassing cause; I get it.

No. He wants you to go back into the closet, marry some girl, and pop out the next generation of straight-acting gay sons. Literally.

That sounds like hyperbole, but it's not. That is a serious recommendation in this book

Is it time for me to point out that Milo(and his ghost writer) was in contact with open white supremacists and solicited their ideas, under the permission and guide of Bannon and Breitbart, when he was still working for their site? Dude was talking to someone from Daily Stormer as well as other "race realists" when coming up with ideas in how to frame "the alt-right" and his entire shtick. Putting a "ironic and not hateful" spin on neo-nazi idea's are still using neo-nazi ideas. Or how about the fact that his passwords at the time were Nazi references? Or how he was barhopping with Richard Spencer and such?

I'm so happy this man's career has been destroyed. Fuck him and his loser defenders

There's still this issue of 'theoretically normal' people actually reaching out to people like them and offering them a stage and even trying to repackage them so that they can attract other people who are apparently still 'on the fence' with regards to ethno-nationalism.

"I'm not racist, but what if that white ethno-state tho?"

Isn't he gay and Jewish? A white ethno-state would not be kind to him.

Oh my god, you're right! Wait when he finds out what his conservative friends have to say about homosexuality. Bright side though, we're really bringing people around to pedophiles.

Pretty sure it isn't the editors job to agree or disagree or police the message of the book. Its his job to make it as palatable to the consumer as possible. I could be mistaken.

Yeah, an editors job is also to find logic errors in books and make the book more presentable and that's exactly what the editor in the manuscript is doing... his job. Editors basically play the devil's advocate/contrarian when doing their job, in a lot of cases the editors don't necessarily have to agree with the content of the book.
