is this the go to cold storage wallet and will it hold every alt coin(currently got XRP/TRX/VEN/REQ)?

steep price but with the recent boom i think the wallet has already paid for itself and i'll feel better about investing some more when i know the coins are properly stored.

edit: just read up on supported coins for the nano and only 1/4 of the ones i have are supported... how do people with larger portfolios even consolidate that shit when i can't even do it with 4 >_>?

There's a list on the official Ledger website of which coins they support.

On top of those listed, you can also store alt-coins built on Ethereum that are ERC-20 based (a lot of the alt coins are ERC-20). There is just a special way you have to do it using the Ethereum Wallet on the Nano Ledger S. You can find instructions online.

I'd ask some of the other guys here that have more experience but from my research it seems using a physical wallet (like the Nano Ledger S) is the best and safest route to store your long term coins.

There have been online wallets and exchanges that have been hacked before and individuals lost coins worth up to millions of dollars in value so be careful.

I personally would wait for the next dip before getting in. People will start selling their smaller profits soon so it's probably inevitable.

That being said, once it settles I'll probably get in because I feel like it's a sure thing it'll get added to Coinbase and once that news is official it'll pop again.

you'd have to trade it for bitcoin/LTC/ETH and then transfer that back to Coinbase where you can sell for USD. You can use GDax also to help with some of the transfer fees.

I still don't like Ripple boys.

It's absolutely overbought right now, and it's a centralized currency that will be used for banks. It serves its purpose but it's no Bitcoin and it sure as Hell is no Ethereum.

I see Ethereum's market cap and I see a crypto that has so much room to grow still, I see XRP's market cap and wonder how much growth it has left.

Also I hold a modest bit of XRP for what it's worth. I just feel like right now it's absolutely overbought and that there are plenty of superior cryptos to invest in.

while i still consider LTC a "hodl" it seems like it's lost quite a bit of its luster...

It literally went from $100 to $420 in a week. It corrected, let it consolidate around $250 so it can blast off to $800-$1000

It's a better version of Bcash because it has better tech and it's not a centralized pump and dump scheme. Litecoin succeeds where Bitcoin is currently stalling, Litecoin hasn't even begun to peak.

I say this as someone that has held since $30 LTC.

i've always trusted your intel, clear, so as long as you feel good about it as will I.

I sold my Ripple. A friend of mine works for a mobile gaming company as a software engineer and said his Chief Financial Officer jumped ship to his company from Ripple because of some very shady things going on behind the scenes finances wise. They definitely could have changed since then, but that knowledge was enough for me, plus I doubt any of you are going to believe me anyway
