Or do more people buy and hold?

What is your strategy?

My brother and brother-in-law are into buying and selling the big three between the highs and lows. They just got started but I can't imagine how they won't get burned playing that game.

I'm a buy on dips and hold mentality.

The whole day trading thing is hard to profit from considering the fees unless you're trading thousands at a time.

That's kind of what I thought. I didn't say anything to them since they likely won't listen anyhow. I'm the "young" one in the family so they know everything lol

Even thought they didn't know anything about cryptos until recently and I have been buying in for a while now.

Exactly what I did, though at this point I don't really buy anymore. Only when I'm interested in new alt coins where I'll drop a cool hundred or so.

I didn't, but I also bought at like 9 cents so I don't mind, I'll hold it for the next rally.

After looking at my coins,. Im going to closely keep an eye on XLM, and ADA. They have been two of my worse coins (along with IOTA, but I believe in that one) and I may sell and put them into ETH or XMR more than likely ETH.

I just realized how much faster and cheaper it is to transfer ETH. Should have did this a whole lot sooner.

I dont believe in tokens, but I may start playing with them just for the percent gains.

Wait I didn't buy at 9 cents, I forgot what the Hell I bought it at but I have 12,000 XVG and I thought I only spent like .01 BTC on it at the time so it had to have been low.

I bought in on XVG when it was .02, so Ill be with them for awhile. I put a lot in them at .14 too, but meh. Ill wait in see what happens with wraith.

Actually I take that back. My portfolio is wrong. Only ADA cant bounce back. I have the change the numbers in my portfolio. XLM is doing relatively fine.

Coinmarketcap, full list of cryptos -> full list of tokens tab, shows the platform each token is built on.

That's why I say ETH is going to dominate the world.

I bought in with 62.5% btc, and 18.75% of both eth/ltc but am now thinking of moving a chunk of the btc into the others

thoughts on the spread? eth does seem the most hopeful to me atm

I think ADA will be one of the top coins years from now, so I'd say just hold whatever you have. The problem is it's price took off too fast when the coin came out this year, people just bought it because it was cheap, not because they believed in it. ADA's rise has come in a time when lots of new people are getting into crypto, they're trying to make a quick buck and don't really know what they're doing. The coin still needs another year or 2, it's a long term hold IMO.

I'm so tempted to dump everything I have in crypto right now into NXT, but on of my rules is to never go all in one coin, even if I'm very confident it's going to moon. It was at $2 the other day, it's down to $1:45 and the snapshot is happening on the 28th, I definitely see it jumping back to $2 at the very minimum. Hoping it hits $3 and above though, but I'll be happy if it gets back to $2. Hell I'm in the green even if it drops to like 70 cents I guess, but that would be disappointing

Yeah. Its equivalent to playing roulette. You can put it all in on a risk and win/lose big. But I prefer the diversification approach, using ETH as a hedge.

I wanted to look more into ADA before I sold it off and I think I understand it a bit better. Its a very ambitious project that, I think, wasnt ready to be released. Im deciding to hold onto it right now since Ive been converted, but I wouldnt recommend anyone to buy at this particular moment. I think it will continue to go down for a little while longer.

You know Litecoin works on the Bitcoin wallet on Ledger right? Like you use the Litecoin wallet on the Chrome app but you select Bitcoin on the device (same as bcash IIRC)

Also unless they fixed it you have to send to your Ledgers legacy wallet, you cannot send from GDAX/whatever directly to Segwit

There are plenty of Youtube guides that walk you through it

I never doubted $1k given that it almost hit that half a decade before you probably ever heard of Bitcoin. Nor do I doubt it going much higher than even now. But there's nothing indicating $4 million per coin.

There's being realistic in expectations, and then there's being outright delusional like you. 90% of your predictions so far have been wrong.

I don't get why I'd look dumb if proven wrong when I have several Bitcoins and would thus be filthy rich. I want to be proven wrong.

The mempool is actually reducing and has for the past few days, and lightning network upgrades are imminent at this point. Bitcoin is going to rally hard in the next few months.

I know why, doesn't mean we have to keep using a coin that has been broken on purpose. And BTC was never meant to be "digital gold", it's like people never read the white paper.
