I don't remember the exact details but it was at the children's hospital here in Toronto. The baby bled for days before it died. It was sad. If his foreskin was not fully elastic then he could contract infections (balanitis) easily and repeatedly. That is why I had an adult circumcision. I wish I had mine cut as a baby so that I would not remember the pain. You can buy lubricant (called Vaseline in the UK do no know US equivalent) soaked gauze that is easy to remove and apply. This might help him. At least he won't suffer from night time erections, so in a sense he suffers less pain than if you had the op done as a teenager or older.
