Grevious was just a pointless character really. He was just there to have a flashy boss fight. Same with Darth Maul.

"Stop having fun"

Eh I enjoyed those fights in Star Wars so I'm not overly bothered. Dooku is the only one that really should have been a bigger character throughout the movies. It would have meant more when Anakin executes him.

You could argue that Grevious was Lucas trying to make his side Star Wars projects be more important I suppose.

Maul, Dooku, and Grievous should have each been much more focal points in my opinion. Fuck all the Anakin-Padme bullshit - each of those dark characters were actually pretty good. Although those aliens they worked with in the first and second movies could use a serious do-over. Also they should've been given way more screen time than the Jedi Order. I think those guys make up most of the cringiest scenes, especially with CGI Yoda (who I honestly think should've only come into play maybe in hologram messages) and purple-lightsaber Mace. I think Grievous and Dooku should've each been introduced earlier on in the prequels and Maul should've lasted much longer, possibly even into the third movie.

Plo Koon is one of those strange characters that the fans adore even though he has two action scene's in the entire prequels and one of them is his starfighter crash that kills him and the other is him igniting a lightsaber and blocking a few battle droid pot shots.

His appearance in Jedi Power Battles I think was a big part of his reception being strong (orange lightsaber) and just the way he looks in general I think is what grew his popularity. He's like the alien Jedi version of Vader's mask.

Seems Disney realized he's popular because Clone Wars is full of him.

Grevious
He was scarier than fucking Darth Vader in the cartoon that debuted him. The Jedi were terrified of him.

He was so awesome in that show.
