Monday: have to go straight home after work to pick up package from apartment building office before it closes; too tired to walk to mall and back afterward

Tuesday: go out to mall but don't see anything good; walk home in rain

Wednesday: actually get some shopping done, but not all

Thursday: have to do actual grocery shopping; no time for gifts

Friday: sick as a dog; didn't bring an umbrella and don't fancy walking home in freezing rain

I don't like to half ass gifts; I always put a lot of thought into each one. I already don't like that I settled on a bunch of stuff pretty quick on Wednesday, but I got a ride from someone so I couldn't take too long.

I only have two gifts left now and I know what I wanted to get for one, but it wasn't at the store I went to yesterday.

I've been super sick today; barely able to walk or talk. That and the medicine has me all messed up at the party, like I'm dreaming or floating.

Do cabs just not exist in your city? You also get the benefit of being able to buy more stuff because you don't have to carry it for a mile.

Meanwhile, I did all my Christmas shopping in about 2 hrs. Took my parents to pick out wine for their present, then drove to WalMart, Home Depot, and a sporting goods store (about 10 miles away) to buy gift cards.

I usually don't make final decisions until late. If I'm sure I know what I want to get, I'll get it immediately. I actually did get some presents well in advance.

Round trips are a thing and are only $8-10 if you can get in and out in 5 minutes. If walking in the rain while already doing stressful shopping is a legit concern, compromises have to be made.

You're not gonna get in and out in five minutes so close to Christmas. The rain was an issue two times; one time I walked anyway, and the other time I was too sick to go back out at all.
