Yeah but watch there be conservative politicians who are the children of immigrants still continue to make argunents like "well my family was able to come here legally" or them to use immigrant supports as their pawn for that "and they came here legally!" or just getting them to say it themselves. While still gradually making it harder to legally immigrate here or prevent them from getting government benefits that I can guarantee a good number of legal immigrants have relied on at some point or another unless you were already a well off person coming here.
