Just watched it yesterday, and man, it's so well done. The acting, cinematography, and even script are pretty good.

Though, I still have some gripes with this movie. Some of the editing are kind of abrupt, Llewelyn's death is pretty lame, and the ending is underwhelming. It would be better if the movie faded out to black and immediately rolled to credits after the scene where Chigurh got hit by a car. Not the best ending, definitely, but it's miles better than what we have in the final version, with Ed Tom talking about his dreams and shit.

My favorite scene in this movie is probably the one where Chigurh burned a car to catch everyone off guard, so that he can sneak in the pharmacy unsuspected.
Such a cool scene.

Such an intense movie; I was legit scared of the cat and mouse games. That whole gunfight in the hotel was just one heart pounding moment after another

One of the best adaptations I've seen of a book. The entire talk about the dream at the end is important and symbolic, the idea of carrying the torch to fight against the darkness that Anton represented so basically summing up the story as being about the nature of evil and not giving up despite how unrelenting it might seem.

Have you seen Fargo and other Coen Brothers movies? If not you should check them out. NCFOM and Fargo are by far their best though.

Ooh, I forgot to talk about this!

The movie is so good at conveying a story without any music. Mad respect to the Coen brothers and co.

I haven't read the book honestly but that ending would probably almost definitely be because of something that happened in the actual book.

Their True Grit remake was really good imo. But you should definitely check out Fargo and The Big Lebowski if you liked No Country.

I even really enjoyed A Serious Man, which is one of their most polarizing films.

I like Llewellyn's death, it captures how chaotic and sudden it was and he died at the hands of cartel but they're still not as methodical and a scheming like Chirgurh.

I just didn't think it ever went anywhere interesting. It was well made and well acted but the story was lacking. I'm really picky about movies though, tbh, so it's probably just me.

A Serious Man is great, as is their first flick Blood Simple. They try a lot of genres, that's what is cool with them. Plus they direct and produce hand in hand. Miller's Crossing is my fave tho, brilliant and deep tragedy.

Was going to watch it late last night but ended up getting too tired & conking out before I could start it; I'm definitely watching it tonight, though. As far as Coen brothers movies go, I've only seen three so far:
Barton Fink
Fargo
The Big Lebowski

They were all pretty good, though, so I have pretty high hopes for this one.

I loved it except for the ending. Felt anti-climatic.

I was watching Blood Simple a few days ago and it's as good if not better than No Country for Old Men.

I didn't like Fargo.
