I've noticed with people--women particularly--in their 60's-70's, if you exaggerate, they believe you.

I was telling a friend's mom about Mrs. DevsBro's high schiol graduation having "lke a million people."

"O_O Really? A million people?"

And then just yesterday we had friends over for lunch.

"Your textbooks cost thirty thousand dollars a semester?"

Everyone closer to my age tends to pretty much get it, though.

I dunno, but my mom is one of the most hyperbolic people that I know, lol.

it could also be a cultural thing.
