I'm looking into relatively obscure/low-print PS1 games to add to my collection, and the ones listed above are some that caught my attention; if any of you have played any of these, I'm interested in hearing your thoughts/whether or not you'd recommend any of them.

Jumping Flash games were great, amongst the first true 3D platform game experiments, a long time before Mario 64.

Strikers 1945 is a great shootemup

Played Clock Tower, Jumping Flash, King's Field, and Shadow Tower. Clock Tower is pretty scary, but CT3 is better in every way imo. Shadow Tower and King's Gield were... meh; I'd rather just play one of the Souls games instead.

I have physical copies of both Jumping Flash games and just replayed them both last year. Definitely recommend them.

Jumping Flash has a really original style and gameplay, might not be to your taste though. Kula World is a fun 3D puzzle game with minimal graphics.

As far as King's Field so far I've only played the original KF1 in Japanese.

I googled Tail Concerto out of curiosity and that game looks like hot ass.

Ive only played Clock Tower from that list. Its fun and intense. One obscure PS1 game I really liked was Einhander.

That game's actually one of the main reasons I made this topic; I managed to score a copy for a decent price the other day & I'm waiting for it to come in the mail. I've heard it's one of the better multiplayer games on the system.

I would've listed Einhander & R-Type Final, but both might've been a bit too recognizable for this list. I've seen a lot of people refer to Clock Tower as one of the scariest games of all time.

Just the Kula World demo.

I've played other obscure(ish) games not on the list, like Hard Edge / T.R.A.G. and Hogs of War. The latter has a very fun multiplayer mode. The Fighting Force games were alright too, although probably not so obscure.

Shadow Tower was fun until I got lost and gave up. Im a Souls groupie and will play anything From Software has done that's similar tho. Echo Night was a pretty interesting story/puzzle type game

Motor Toon Gran Prix is an average kart racing game. It's not terrible. But Crash Team Racing and Speed Punks/Freaks are better.

I have Echo Night and Tail Concerto -- neither is super lengthy. I do remember the last platforming level in TC being kind of annoying, though.

If you want a fun under-the-radar type of PS1 game, get Deception 2 and 3. You get to murder enemies who infiltrate your castle/palace...it's a lot of sadistic fun.
