Playing an n64 emulator called openemu (which I believe uses mugen64), for a totally legal game that I have already purchased legally. Issue I'm having is that the keyboard is too sensitive for movement, I need to reduce it. I believe that's called the deadzone, so if I can find wherever the config file is for that I can adjust that value right? The emulator itself doesn't seem to have a slider for sensitivity in the front end.

I found this online:

You may set your own key bindings for the emulator core and input plugins, by editing the Mupen64Plus config file. On Linux or OSX, this is located at ~/.config/mupen64plus/, and on Windows it is in the "Application Data" sub-folder of your user folder. On Windows XP and prior, this is C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Mupen64Plus\, while on Windows Visa and newer this is C:\Users\username\AppData\Mupen64Plus.

I know where I would look to get there on a PC, but how do I go about actually finding that on a Mac? I'm not all that familiar with these things.

I don't have a macOS machine in front of me, but there should be an option in Finder to show hidden files and directories. The tilde means "user's home folder", the period in the ".config" means "treat this as a hidden directory", and the "mupen64plus" is just a normal subdirectory.

if that doesn't/didn't work, just use terminal and type open ~/.config/mupen64plus/

Argh, apparently that file doesn't exist. "no such file or directory", it says
