What's the tl;dr version of your charges (if any) atm?
Could you serve any tim (even if home detention, not sure how much the US uses that compared to Australia).
I'd prefer to hear from you since this board seems to think you're going to get anything from life to it all overturned, and people love commenting on shit they're not too educated on.

I only have wiretapping charges and a probation violation coming up right now. This is a temporary injunction where I have to show cause for their not to be a final injunction. I don't think they can successfully win their wiretap case but technically I face up to 35 years for that. The probation violation will get thrown out because I've already served a full 60 day sentence and I was only found guilty of one charge with a max sentence of 60 days.

You have an estimated time until you see that being dealt with - be it a trial or a Judge reviewing the evidence?
I know America has a fair amount of backlog for these things sometimes.
A charge I had ( though a lot more minor) was dealt with here in about 6 weeks.
Wiretapping though, that likely sounds worse than it is.

They have already dealt with this in an unorthodox manner. Their 180 days ended November 13th. My attorney told me "Do you really want to blow your wad too soon?" when I mentioned mentioning that at suppression. He wants to unload everything in front of the jury. January 29th is the date. I was told I would get my laptop back tomorrow. They have had it without a warrant since February 15th.
