His top 4 is "Thriller" (his very best), "The Way You Make Me Feel", "Bad" and "Remember The Time". These succeed at being both well-choreographed music videos and telling stories. After that, "Beat It" and "Scream".

The "Billie Jean" music video is overrated, imho. Iconic as it is, it feels so arbitrary; what you see in the music video has absolutely nothing to do with the song. "Smooth Criminal"'s video is overrated, too; as iconic and awesome as the dancing is (as well as the antigravity lean), the problem with it is that it's not its own standalone music video. It's directly part of the abysmal Moonwalker movie; to truly understand the music video, you have to watch the rest of that horrible movie:

I haven't watched Moonwalker in decades, but Smooth Criminal on its own is still compelling. That part with the interpretive dance was a bit odd though.

Black or White was memorable too: the intro with Macaulay, the face morphing, the panther, The Simpsons

Memorable, but not good. Pretty crappy music video, tbh. It looked so low budgety, the MJ dancing in the street scene was stupid and the Simpsons ending was random.

The face-morphing sequence was unprecedented at the time though.
