I love micro SD cards as they are a good option when my internal space on my Phone is going out. Yet it seems that the exclusion of Micro SD cards is more or less the standard now.

It's because internal storage is cheaper to manufacture and produce than it is to put a micro SD slot on the phone. It's also so they can charge you $100 more to double your internal storage from 16GB to 32GB, instead of you being able to buy a 16 GB phone, and doubling the storage for 1/4 the price.
