You shouldn't have to alter the cover letter too much, if you do that means you're not keeping it general enough.

Yeah, like I don't think there's any harm to slight exaggerations on your resume
For example, when I first started applying to jobs, I had on my resume that I am "fully proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite applications" I only knew how to use PowerPoint and Word, a little Excel --- im a good person ... Copied to Clipboard!

they might ask for 3 years experience, but uni counts as experience so long as you did a real degree like something in STEM, Law, Accounting, maybe Business, etc.
