the second DLC is the best one in the series, IMO.

but yea, the first one is kinda lame. at least the final boss is dope. there are also some cool weapons.

Well.. Im almost done with the game, so I guess it time to finish up ahses of ariandel or whatever its called. Almost wish i hadnt bought the DLC, so hopefully the ringed city is good

Dude ringed city is the shit. Opens up alot of pvp/coop as well, I spend more time in the inner wall than pontiffs arena

I havent played ashes yet so cant comment on that. you bought the wrong one though

Crown of the Ivory King? Lud and Zallen were bad. As were the frigid outskirts and the ganking thunder gazelles, but Elyium Loyce is beautiful. And the boss fights of Ava and Burnt Ivory are spectacular.

They were all good EXCEPT for the one shitty boss/shitty area they all had. (ganksquad/smelter2/doubletiger). Still 2/3 good bosses is better than the base game.

Until you figure out the gimmick at the start of Ringed City, it is incredibly annoying. After that though it is pretty awesome.

Yeah Ganksquad was what pissed me off. I beat them but fuck. It just looks like they throw a bunch of shit at you and say "lolhard"

Ringed City is a strong contender for best Souls DLC and a hell of a lot more content. Though the opening area had an extremely dumb mechanic that they nerfed into the ground soon after.

Also Dark Souls 2 is the best Souls game.

Though my very first RPG was King's Field 1 (US), which is From Software's first game series, and what Demon's Souls was meant to be a spiritual successor to.

For me the best Souls game simply depends on what you're into the most tbh.

Dark Souls - This one has the most going for it, and is by far my favorite (and first) game. Lore and atmosphere. Level design. Just...love everything about it lol.
Dark Souls 2 - Build variety and PvP were top notch. Very replayable due to both that, and the different branches you could take at the start. Could even bonfire ascetic a lord soul boss to get into Drangleic Castle early on.
Dark Souls 3 - PvE content was top notch. The bosses here are all pretty damn good. I feel it's the weakest game of them though just because other than the bosses, I find most of it all just so so. Nothing stands out as just straight up amazing.

Bloodborne easily has the best PvE however. The Old Hunters will always be one of the best DLC ever made IMO.

Idk. I like them all. Not sure why people like to argue which is best so often, because even the worst Souls game is still better than 99% of any other game coming out these days.

Since it's the last made Dark Souls content, it can be thought of as a send off to the trilogy. The last story boss in Ringed City DLC can be seen as the sort of final boss of the trilogy and a climax of everything From Software has done up to this point.

Similarly, the optional boss of the Ringed City can also be seen as a fond celebration of all the wonky hitboxes and bad camera problems from all 5 games. >_>
