2 Online Gamers from Texas and Canada were Horrified after they heard gunfire while playing with 23 y/o Cody Ha, who lives in Kansas...they didn't realize what was going on until they heard his sister return home and scream when she found Cody and his mother, Huong Pham shot dead!!

Cody was playing video games with an online group on Saturday night at 10pm when a gunman opened fire on him and his 62 y/o mother and one of the gamers, Ashley Martinez from Houston, Texas was startled when he heard popping noises and it hurt his ears...

He didn't know what was going on and asked the other friend, Tommy Ong from Canada if they heard it as well..

They called his cell phone number and heard it ringing on his side but there was no answer..until the 22 y/o sister was heard on the other side later on that night and they heard her scream and said there was blood everywhere.....

Ashley said "She was panicking...she was on the phone. She said she didn't want to touch them. She said she didn't feel safe"

The 3 were best friends online despite the distance between them and the next day the police contacted them to ask what they had heard that night.

Tommy said he heard a knock on the door and that the gunman may have wanted prescription medications from Cody's mother. He said that Cody's mom would give Cody some of her money from the sale of these prescription drugs to make extra money..Tommy said people who did not have health insurance would regularly go to their house to purchase drugs that they need from them...

Tommy remembers Cody as one of the "nicest and most inclusive, down to earth persons i've ever met"..

Cody would work at his mother's laundry business part time and came home at nights to play video games.

In 2014, the mother got a temporary protection from stalking order when a woman threatened her by saying she'd "hire" someone to harm her!!. That same month, someone broke windows in their family stores and slashed tires on her son's car..It's unclear if these were related to the deaths.

They family had arrived to the United States just 10 years ago according to neighbors..

to answer the poll question. I feel as safe as someone possibly can that doesn't have hired professionals protecting them night and day. only criminal in my neighborhood got locked up years ago. and I don't recall him being the violent sort. closest he came is he trespassed onto some local government officials property to demand more money (apparently he had been blackmailing him for years, gov. dude had a thing for young boys back in his days as a lawyer who defended teens on the regular and this dude used to be one of his clients that got sexually abused by him) and well that got him shot. forget what he finally got arrested over though but that wasn't it.

Was he murdered in 2014, and you're just very late in telling us about the story? If not, then no, it's probably not related. My money is on this being drug related, not 3-year-old petty grudge related.

Yeah being as all the idiots are either dead, moved away or in prison. We didn't have many to begin with. The only bad things I can think of in recent memory was so guys in a van stealing the ATM machine and a guy jumping/falling from the top of the flats near us. Probably on drugs.
