i like LP's when the person actually knows what the fuck they're doing

maybe it's boring, but so is someone trying to get past one part for 2 hours

also helps if they know trivia and other tidbits about the game

I like stupid stuff. Game Grumps, Cow Chop, Funhaus, and Achievement Hunter/LetsPlay are my ideal types.

One of my favorite LP channels is OneyPlays, and the only thing that distinguishes them from most other channels I've seen is they're just genuinely funny people playing a game together until they get bored of whatever they're playing and play something else instead.

They play effortlessly and linearly knowing the game already and whats best and the best way to do it. Go watch older perfect runs of resident evil. They can boringly run past the enemies and kill the bosses as fast as possible. Nothing stands a chance. Boring.

I like the LPer to have in-depth knowledge of game to the point where they know cool things I don't know (about the gameplay, lore, development, etc.).

On the mix-maxing / role-playing axis, I don't really mind. Having an LPer break the shit out of the game can be fun, but equally I like it when they play a particular archetype and stick to it and don't make use of knowledge that the character wouldn't have to a reasonable degree, particularly in RPGs of course.

Humor is welcome as long as it's not forced and is of course genuinely funny. TheAuZZieGamer is quite good at that side of things.

I don't really care, any let's play I have on I'd just background noise as I play a game myself
