So, while FOX isn't unbiased and they clearly have done crazy crap in the past, they're not pushing a fake narrative at the moment. Hence, they're closer to real news in 2017. CNN was simply a left-leaning network - that used to at least report facts. That is, until...well, ratings went down. Their base was happy under Obama, and they had nothing to complain about or worry about. Their viewers stopped caring about politics - because everything was fine for them, so they had to pull crap out of their ass. Trayvon Martin is the reason this network went to shit. The only way to pull ratings back in was to assist in creating the race war. That got people watching again. Ratings went up. This is when the executives figured out that running with people's fears got them ratings. Gradually, over time, they stopped caring about journalistic integrity.
