I think they must be doing something new with it for it not to be around right now. The obvious guess of course is they're doing up to GameCube and possibly up to Wii.
Another possibility is that they are working out online play for everything. Aren't they going to have limited-time online-enabled NES titles for paid subscribers? I know that people have done online play with emulators, but the idea of Nintendo doing if officially makes me theorize that they'll make these enhanced ports instead of emulations, and it won't be just for NES games. That would be a good reason for the delay, but probably just wishful thinking on my part. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Virtual Console on the Switch would be sweet. I don't care for online on VC games though.

Oh, I get it. I thought he was just saying "classic" in a general sense, not referring to those specific products. Yeah, that would be cool, but I don't see it happening. I've always said I'd rather pay $80 to have those games on Switch than get an actual SNES Classic.
It's weird to me that they charged $60 and $80 for the NES and SNES Classic, given that current VC prices per game are $5 for NES and $8 for SNES. But you do get to choose only the games you want, so that's one plus. I'd be happy to see some prices drop, or maybe have them give some games for free to build people's interest, like do they really still need to charge for Super Mario Bros.? ... Copied to Clipboard!
