"I Feel like once december rolls around any new movies or video games that come out aren't gonna get my attention because I'm too busy thinking about doing something for everyone else on christmas and paying the bills on time"

this statement is usually said by people who do their holiday shopping ahead of time to beat the rush and find that new releases in december just won't be getting their time and money due to friends and family needing that more

but you do agree with this or do you disagree and feel that it's just an excuse to ignore something with the cover of "I Can't treat myself to something when the holiday's more important for my families"

i only ask because anytime this comes up online people just say "If they actually cared about the movie or game in question they'd pay for it no matter what even if it's out in december"

but is that really the case?

release dates are announced months in advance you should be able to pre-order and save for it if you really want it
