Alright bro, got a predicament here.

So seeing this girl... kinda. It gets tricky because she's shy, I've already had sex with her best friend, and I've kissed her before dropping her off at the end of the night. Haven't had sex with her but working on it.

Problem is the last two times I've been out with her and a few friends there's this other guy there. Not real sure his name, nor do I give a fuck. He's fat af, looks like shit (not gonna tell you what I look like lol, trying to be modest) and to top it off he's the kind of bitch that is insecure and won't introduce himself to other men.

Anyways, he tries pulling stupid stunts like fucking with the girl I'm talking to and her friend's hair, gets shut down if trying to be affectionate, and we've lost him at the end/midway through the night to none of the girls' apparent care.

Hit her up last night and she was still out of town but she gets back tonight and suggested we go out.

Should I be worried about this guy?

Umm wow. Well, in my personal opinion I don't think you should be worried about this guy. Especially if he's as fat and ugly and insecure as you say he is. Plus you said he fucks with the girl you're talking to and her friend's hair? It sounds like he irritates them. Plus she suggested that you go out with her? That says she's not interested in the other dude. I say you're golden.

For me, Alexis has known Jackson since the 7th grade. She always had a crush on him. But he dated her friend instead. He's in the military now. And according to her, even if she went to him right now and told him that she loved him, he wouldn't say it back to her. I don't know why. She also got all excited when he said he was coming home for christmas. Plus her mom even wants her to be with him. So yeah, I don't have much of a chance here.

Going on one "date" doesn't automatically give you the right to call her your girlfriend. That takes many weeks, sometimes months or even a year or two for some people, of dating and being together, and that is entirely dependent on both of you being in agreement with each other. She is clearly interested in another man, and you keep catching feels despite the red flags practically waving in your face, so take the hint and move the fuck on with your life. Dwelling on shit like this is what makes you look like an unattractive asshat, not only to us, but to the women you talk to.

Everyone acts like its possible to get their crush to like them back somehow, some way... but thats simply not the case most of the time, if were being realistic. When on the desired side of the situation, it becomes clearer, because you just arent into the person and thats that. Reverse the roles... If youre the one with the crush, those emotions are driving you to achieve victory (or however you look at it) and you get your hopes up because you want things to go a certain way.

To play my own devils advocate, my wife originally said I wasnt her type, but when you line up the dudes she finds attractive I totally was... She was my type, hence the whole thing getting initiated, so I pursued her, but she gave me the brush off for a bit and I respected that and moved on romantically... then it was all wait! Ive made a mistake! and she spilled feelings everywhere. A bold move not everyone would make.

My point in telling that story is simply to illustrate how complex this whole thing can be, and no two situations are identical. What seems straightforward may not be. There are too many variables to give anyone else definitive answers to their problems with your personality, looks, etc.

I try to be helpful where I can because, to put it bluntly, girls really liked me starting in my late teens, and I had enough opportunities to learn through trial and error (and many errors there were, trust me). While Im an introvert, Im extremely open and talkative, which helped, but the best advice I can give anybody is to just go for it (but not at a persons place of work, which is all the rage with users here, it seems) until youve got enough experience that it becomes easy (or easier). This website is full of single dudes desperate for an SO, and most of the problem is just a lack of volume.
