So I picked up my friends Samsung galaxy 8 and theres like icons everywhere and its just all messy compared to my iPhone X 256gb silver which is just clean and straight to the point

You can not only group your icons into folders/menus like you can with the iPhone, you can also change the icon grid size via Nova Launcher, which iPhones can't do. So, you can have a very tight 5x6 grid, or leave more space with a 4x5 grid.

Of course, if someone doesn't know how to properly organize their icons, that's a different problem.

I have an android. The icons you have on literally any screen are all custom. It's your friend that is cluttered.

If by fix, you mean customize, yes. Much better than the iPhone alternative, which is "if you don't like the layout, tough shit."

The launcher isn't needed to clean up your friend's icon issues, though, it just allows additional tweaking for people who are interested. Also lets let you do cool things like change/eliminate app opening animation speed, which makes things fly open.
