Well yeah. The potential free ride is why I said paying rent to parents is different than renting outside.

Yeah I know. But at the end of the day, for his case, it ended up being a free ride.

Not really, the difference being that I actually came back well before my cycle was up, so it didn't make a difference that I, too, forgot to set my alarm.

I didn't have the option of staying home even if I wanted too. Kinda ignorant to just assume everyone has the same opportunities you have.

i dread the day i have to use the laundromat when the washer or dyer breaks down.

think i had to use one last month. but it didn't cost too much money. maybe 1.50 to dry if i had to wash it would immediately be 4$.

i'm one of those penny saver types ><.

laundry drama sucks. people are entitled assholes.

my spots pretty mellow, i get home in the afternoon and do mine when no one else uses the facilities.

old spots ive been people leave shit in and i throw it out and use the machine. many arguments, but its their fault so fuck em.

Who says I haven't? Maybe I did exactly what you did, but wasn't as lucky and lost a bit of money. Not a lot, of course, as I would never invest an amount of money that I couldn't live without, but still. Who's to say maybe I wasn't as lucky as you?

Between a free ride from your parents and some luck in the stock market, you do indeed sound awfully presumptuous, especially considering I'm on pace to be way past where you're at once I hit 30.

My first experience with communal laundry facilities was college, because I always lived in a house. I lived in a small dorm, close knit community, you just left your laundry detergent in the laundry room, which is what you do in a house, so it was perfectly normal to me. My third year of college, I went abroad to Germany. First day, fill out some paperwork, then go out to get some necessities- beer, cold cuts, laundry detergent. Did my laundry that first week, left the box of detergent on a shelf in the laundry room. Came back the next week, box was empty.

At that young naive age, it didn't even occur to me that somebody would take my clothes detergent. So I decided I'd just go back to the store, get another box, and keep it in my room. At the store, I noticed that they also sold powdered bleach. Along with being naive at that age, I was also extremely treacherous.

Yes. I put the powdered bleach in the clothes detergent box and left it on the shelf. A week went by and all of a sudden a lot of people were talking about buying new clothes. Another week went by, and I took the box of powdered bleach and threw it away, and just left my clothes detergent on the shelf. There was still soap in that box the last time I did laundry before leaving the country.

I got warned for posting the gif of Randy Marsh pooping in the final seconds of the South Park episode, "The Biggest Crap In The Universe."

Pooping is offensive?

Apparently. This was the reasoning:

Offensive Material
You should not post anything that would be considered inappropriate in a business or school environment (in other words, "Not Safe For Work"). Here are some examples:

Links to images or videos containing pornography, nudity of any kind, or sexualized minors (i.e. "jailbait").

Links to real-life blood and gore. Gore in a video game is fine, but real-life graphic material isn't.

Hate speech, such as using race, religion, sexual orientation, culture, ethnicity, disability, nationality, or gender as a means of insult.

Sexually explicit posts. If you must discuss sexual matters, keep it vague. The less detail, the less likely someone will find it offensive.

Don't use "gay" or "re****ed" in place of "stupid", or "r***" in place of "destroyed".

I only bolded the part that my post could've even remotely violated. So I took my case up by attacking that point that says, "gore in a video game is fine, but real-life graphic material isn't."

South Park is obviously animated, and far from being "real life." My main point was, why is it okay to post a high-res gif of blowing someone's head off in Call of Duty, but a silly and crudely-animated South Park poop is too much?

Currently waiting a response from a lead moderator.

EDIT: The "NSFW" post also applied, I realize, but again, it still doesn't address why my boss would be okay seeing an exploding guy in CoD, but not South Park. They're either both okay, or neither are.
