I have high hopes for how Rocko's Modern Life tackles it though in their TV special and comic series. Chances are that new viewers don't even know what the hell a beeper is, plus they were on their way out even in the 90s, so moving to cell phones makes sense. At least it didn't look too modern. As for Rocko, it's part of the story that they were lost in space for years, so technology has evolved, but the world is as crazy as ever. That's true but seeing touch screen phones, sleek laptops and Wi-Fi was the kind of thing I was talking about. At least they had an excuse for the beeper biz to be even further out now. As for Rocko's, I haven't seen the teaser but I heard that's the gist so I'm excited to see more of the finished product.
