I don't know if you have to be an Elite member, but that's a good price. I was going to get it at Walmart for $19, but now I don't have to.

Yeah. I always buy Soulsborne games at less than $20 because I'm trash at them and never get too far.

Well, I did beat Demon's Souls.

nioh feels like a bunch of devs got together in a boardroom, wrote down a list of souls games features, and then dumped them into a ninja gaiden title without wondering/caring if they would work or not

Nioh's one of the best games of the year so yeah, it's definitely worth $20 ($16 w/GCU).

Nice. Have you ever played Demon's Souls?

I'm wondering if I can finally sit down and beat another one of these games. To be fair to myself, I didn't spend a lot of time in Dark Souls II, I took a break in Dark Souls 1 and never went back, and I have like 2 hours in Dark Souls III.

no, demon's souls is the only souls game ive never played. im hoping for a ps4 remaster or something.

nioh has none of the atmosphere, level design, enemy design, fun bosses, etc that the souls games have. it's just dark souls mechanics thrown into a really hard action game for no reason tbh

Well I'll see how I like it. I've heard it's great from some people, and I've heard it's not so great from some others.

Is there a complete edition with DLC though?

If I buy this and then the DLC would it just end up being about the same $ for that?

There's a complete edition on PSN for $50. I don't know how much it would cost to get the full experience, but I'm fine with the base game only. Plus, I might not even make it to the end anyway.

In America the only Complete Edition is digital and it costs $50 normally. This sale price (assuming you have GCU) is $16 and the Season Pass costs $25, bringing the total to $41. So at the moment this would be the cheaper way to go.

You could always wait on a sale for the Complete Edition, but they just released it a few weeks ago so I don't know how long that'll be. On the other hand, you could buy the physical version of Nioh now and wait for a sale on the Season Pass (vanilla game is fairly long). I know it's gone on sale a few times in the past and with the holidays coming up there could always be another sale.

Really now?

Was it gameplay related, story, atmosphere?

Just curious.

Everything, tbh. Im not a fan of Team Ninja aesthetics, the story is beyond terrible, and I just didnt care for the ridiculous amount of loot (its too much, its like Diablo 3 basically), or the combat or sponge like bosses (although many did enjoy the combat)
