Tutorial messages for the same action over and over several hours into the game. (Looking at you Horizon: Zero Dawn. God I hope there's an option to turn this shit off.)

Unwinnable boss fights that could've just been done in a 10-second cutscene.

Day One patches (anyone else the olden days when games companies actually released the finished product at launch day?!)

Contrived plot twists.

Trying to force an emotion on you, like when it makes you play out your final moments in Modern Warfare.

Linear gameplay ie someone running away who needs to stay alive for a cut scene (where they end up killing themselves anyway) so you shoot them in the foot to slow them down and thats apparently enough to kill them....
