was playing Red and walking into Viridian Forest. was thinking "it would be so awesome if I ran into a pikachu....like that will happen...." and then the first encounter was a pikachu, a few seconds after I had that thought. then the next encounter.....was a second pikachu! that's crazy. first that i was thinking of it and then it happened, and then that it happened again

It's because you're in a simulation world controlled by your thoughts.only works on the little stuff tho .

It's because you're in a simulation world controlled by your thoughts.only works on the little stuff tho .

Just counting the two encounters it appared in a row, the odds would be 1 in 400 (or 0.25%), as Pikachu has a 1 in 20 appearance rate (or 5%). For the record, encountering a shiny pokemon nowadays (as of Gen 6) is a 1 in 4096 chance, so the odds of encountering those 2 Pikachu in a row are about a tenth as rare as a shiny.

But, just encountering a second after the first would just be a 1 in 20 chance, in itself.
