Disturbed's cover is hot garbage because it completely misses the point of the original. The dude from Disturbed puts too much of an emphasis on strong vocals with heavy production that's trying hard not to come off as not heavily produced. The original is stripped back, somber, with a somewhat deadpan tone to it which directly meshes with the lyrics and what tone they're going for. The dude from Disturbed practically sounds like he's singing a Christmas carol in church like Silent Night or some shit. It just doesn't work at all. Similar to how the dude who covered Mad World completely missed the point.
