I never said anything about removing all lootboxes or none of that delusional nonsense you keep bringing up.

I was only ever solely talking about business practices like this in games. My point wasn't to not complain or criticize anything ever. You tried to spin my post into that.

Looks like we were arguing about completely different things. Oh well.

If you don't want to see this stuff in video games you need to support games that don't use them and don't buy games that do. Because right now these games are the most successful ones in games and right now it isn't impacting sales or their success. That is my sole and only point in regards to this.

Lol. I made it pretty clear what I was talking about because it expanded on later statements from you and how you were misinterpreting me but you kept on going and going because you're Darmik. You assume too much and it becomes difficult to argue with you.

Kinda seems like we both assumed something about each other's arguments but whatever. You seem to be more invested in my account while I don't remember you at all too *shrugs*

No, I'm pretty sure it was only you.

You're pretty infamous for shit posting in video game threads, so it's not hard to remember when there's only like 30 users left on here.

Even funnier if you don't know me and assume a bunch of shit anyway.

Loot boxes are ruining gaming

EA's insatiable greed might actually be good for the industry if it gets looked back on as the breaking point and gets governments to regulate this garbage

What I think is that they really pulled microtransactions because they're under investigation in Europe to determine whether or not Battlefront II is gambling. It probably spooked them.

This. They don't give a shit what the consumers think, but a legal investigation is a whole other business

And now EA needs to be shut down as a penance for the shit they've pulled over the years.

They only did this to get Belgium off their back, but at least players can enjoy a month or so of no microtransactions now. Most people will move on by then anyway so kind of a victory, I guess.

Again, they won't regulate it. Same as MTG or other card games, if you get a product with every purchase it isn't gambling.
